This page explains how Aztenix uses online estimates, how permit-related costs and responsibilities are handled, and what conditions may affect the final price, schedule, and scope of work. It is intended to help customers understand the Instant Quote process before booking or paying a deposit.
1. Online Quotes Are Preliminary Project Estimates
Any estimate shown through our Instant Quote system is based on the information, answers, measurements, photos, and selections you provide. It is designed to help you understand a likely project range and, where available, reserve an appointment online. It is not a guaranteed fixed price for every condition that may exist at the property.
Final pricing may change if we discover concealed conditions, code issues, damaged or unsafe existing equipment, access limitations, inaccurate project details, utility requirements, homeowner-association requirements, or other site conditions that could not reasonably be confirmed before the on-site visit or project verification.
2. Your Written Agreement Controls
For projects requiring a California home-improvement contract or service-and-repair agreement, your written agreement controls the final scope, price, payment schedule, start timing, and permit responsibilities. This disclaimer page supports the online quoting process, but it does not replace any written contract, change order, invoice, or legally required notice.
Any changes to the agreed scope, price, materials, or scheduling that are required after the quote is issued or after work begins will be documented in writing before additional chargeable work is performed, unless emergency conditions require immediate action for safety.
3. Permit Fees and Permit Responsibility
Some electrical projects require a city, county, or other authority-having-jurisdiction permit and one or more inspections. Whether a permit is required depends on the type of work, the property, local rules, and the final project scope.
If a permit fee is shown in your quote, it is an estimate or allowance unless we expressly state otherwise in writing. Actual permit costs can vary by jurisdiction, scope, valuation, revisions, plan requirements, utility requirements, and local fee changes. If a permit fee is not shown, that does not necessarily mean a permit will not be required.
Your contract or final project documents should identify who is responsible for obtaining permits. Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, Aztenix will obtain permits only for work we are contracted to perform and only after the scope is confirmed and any required permit-related charges or documentation are addressed.
4. Inspections, Corrections, and Utility Coordination
Projects that require inspection may also require utility-company coordination, service shutdowns, scheduling windows, corrections requested by an inspector, or supplemental documentation. These items can affect timing. We do not control the schedules, processing times, or requirements of building departments, utilities, HOAs, or third-party agencies.
If a permit, inspection, or utility process reveals additional code-related work, safety upgrades, access needs, or scope changes that were not reasonably identifiable at the time of the initial quote, we may need to revise the price and schedule. When possible, we will explain the reason for the change and obtain written approval before proceeding.
5. Customer-Provided Information and Site Access
You are responsible for providing reasonably accurate information about the property, requested work, existing electrical equipment, and access conditions. This includes, when requested, clear photos of electrical panels, charger locations, lighting locations, work areas, or other relevant site conditions.
You are also responsible for ensuring reasonable access to the property and work area at the scheduled time, including access to electrical panels, garages, attics, crawl spaces, or other relevant areas where the work must be evaluated or performed. If the technician arrives and cannot reasonably access the work area, the schedule and quoted amount may need to be revised.
6. Common Exclusions Unless Specifically Included
Unless specifically listed in writing, online quotes typically do not include unrelated repairs, drywall or stucco patching, finish carpentry, painting, tile work, extensive surface restoration, landscaping, engineering, asbestos or hazardous-material handling, owner-requested upgrades outside the original scope, or third-party permit/plan requirements beyond the quoted scope. They also do not include correcting previously unknown concealed defects or bringing unrelated parts of the property up to current code.
If such work is needed for completion, safety, code compliance, or customer preference, it may be quoted separately or added by written change order.
7. Scheduling and Completion Timing
Any scheduling shown online is subject to confirmation, availability, site verification, permit requirements, weather where relevant, material availability, and utility or inspection timing. We will make reasonable efforts to honor confirmed appointments and completion targets, but exact dates cannot be guaranteed when third-party approvals or site conditions are involved.
8. Deposits, Payments, and Service Calls
For residential home-improvement installation work, the amount due online is intended to be only the legally permitted down payment and not full prepayment of the project. The remaining balance is handled under the written agreement and applicable California law.
The website’s Electrical Service Call path is intended for qualifying service-and-repair work and does not collect advance payment online. If a service visit reveals that the requested work falls outside qualifying service-and-repair rules or outside the original service-call scope, we may need to provide a revised quote or contract before proceeding further.
9. No Waiver of Consumer Rights
Nothing on this page is intended to waive any right or protection that applies under California law, including any applicable cancellation rights, contract requirements, notice requirements, or payment restrictions. Where the law requires a particular notice or contract term, the legally required writing controls.
